Diese irgendwie archaisch anmutende Strophenmelodie fiel mir erst vor ein paar Jahren auf der Blockflöte ein. Auf sie und den Text bin ich ein bischen stolz. Ich finde beides geht eine organische Verbindung ein, so als hätte es dieses Lied schon lange vor unsrer Zeit irgendwo in Irland oder Schottland gegeben, und ein altes vergilbtes Notenblatt wäre durch die Wirrungen der Gezeiten auf einem Dachboden von einem Antiquitäten-Sammler in einer verstaubten Kiste gefunden worden und durch Zufall auf meinem Schreibtisch gelandet...
