Diesen netten Song schrieb ich 78 nach einem sommerlichen Rheinspaziergang in Koblenz. Meinen Musiker-kollegen war er damals zu seicht...Mit diesem „easy-listening —chillout- groove“ kommt er mittlerweile richtig zeitgemäß rüber. Selbst der Text könnte von heute sein, ist aber original von damals.
Im Jahr 86 war der Titel schon mal auf deutsch eine sogenannte B — Seite einer Single der Gruppe Headline. „Europa“ hieß die A Seite, mit der wir den 5. Platz beim Grand Prix de la Chanson Vorentscheid belegten. Leider war die Produktion damals sehr lieblos nur mit Keyboardprogramming eingespielt worden (wie damals üblich mit Drumcomputer statt mit richtigem Schlagzeuger). Meine heutige handgemachte Version zeigt endlich, was in diesem zeitlosen Song für ein Potential steckt.
